Bristol legend and Anjunadeep mainstay Jody Wisternoff continues to reinvent himself. After the release of his acclaimed studio album Welcome To My World in December, he now returns with a completely fresh perspective – slowing things down for a brand-new companion piece on Anjunachill.
A chilled reinterpretation
The new project, Welcome To My World (Chill Mixes), sees Jody rework selected tracks into ambient and downtempo renditions. The result highlights the melodic and emotional core of the originals, enriched by lush pads, broken beats, and atmospheric textures.
“Welcome to My World is an open invitation to step into my musical universe, gradually shaped over the 35 years I’ve spent in the game. While I was writing it, I felt the melodic elements really stood out on their own. When Anjuna announced the chill label subsidiary, the idea for this companion release was cemented in my mind. I selected eight tracks that I felt best lent themselves to this format and got to work,” explains Jody.
Global recognition
Since its December release, the original album has racked up more than 5 million streams and gained support from the likes of Gorgon City, Super Flu, Eelke Kleijn, Nick Warren, and Tim Green. It also broke into the top 5 on Beatport’s Dance, Breaks, Electronica, and Organic House charts, while making waves on SiriusXM Chill and across global radio.
With the new Chill Mixes out now, fans can dive deeper into Jody’s musical universe – one that balances introspection with groove, and nostalgia with forward-thinking production.
